Problem has reached the Presidential Administration: it is forbidden to engage teachers in other jobs

Earlier, blogger Nikita Makarenko raised this issue
Blogger Nikita Makarenko wrote on his page that teachers are being recruited to collect information about school-age children in the regions. He published the comments of about 30 teachers working in different regions of Uzbekistan, who have been going door-to-door and collecting information about children for many years.
"All this is happening on the basis of orders given in absentia by school principals and district public education departments, according to the instructions of teachers. In this case, the Ministry of Public Education is indifferent. Perhaps the ministry is aware of the problem and public statements despite this, it is impossible to effectively end this form of modern slavery," the blogger said.
After that, Saida Mirziyoyeva, deputy chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mass-media Foundation, touched on this problem on her page.
"I'm very sad to hear that teachers are being forced to go round the houses and make lists of students like they did twenty years ago.

I believe that a review of the attitude towards teachers is very necessary and I ask the authorities to stop imposing unnecessary and illegal duties on them.

The main task of teachers is to ensure the future of our country by educating our children. This is a very difficult task. When there are so many problems in the field of education, it is unnecessary to impose some additional tasks on the shoulders of teachers. Forcing teachers to overwork will harm not only the school, but also the future of Uzbekistan.

I ask all the responsible persons to solve this problem as soon as possible and to free the teachers from all duties other than teaching," said Saida Mirziyoyeva.
Then, the Ministry of Public Education reacted to the problem.
According to him, it was noted that in accordance with the decision of the government No. 140 of 2017, the school management should have information about the children who live in the micro-region attached to their school and who may come to the school in the future.
"At the same time, today this process is carried out through an electronic system, and for this there is no need for school pedagogues to go from house to house. Since the last 2 years, admission processes for the 1st grade in general education schools in the city of Tashkent and regional centers have been carried out electronically. (online) is being implemented," the ministry said.
"We would like to remind you that it is absolutely forbidden to involve some local leaders in the process of collecting data on the micro-region and in activities not related to their activities," XTV said in response.
In accordance with the decision of the President of 2018 [PQ-3907], reports on other pedagogical tasks of general secondary school teachers, except for organizing lessons and club activities and keeping a class journal, and additional it is strictly forbidden to demand information and involve public education workers in activities not related to the duty of service.
The Ministry of Public Education reminded all school principals and pedagogues that it is strictly forbidden to involve them in work that is not part of their job duties, and in case of such situations, they can contact the Ministry's hotline 71-202-09-09.
In addition, the Presidential Administration gave the Ministry of Public Education and relevant officials the necessary instructions to inventory all the redundant tasks assigned to teachers and to prohibit them.
