Tree planting for every newborn baby

A new initiative proposes planting tree saplings and creating "New Generation Parks" named after newborns. The Uzbek government plans to establish a system for ordering tree planting alongside birth certificate registration by July 1, 2024.

Authorities will gather data on available land and create electronic maps for establishing parks annually until November 1. By December 1 each year, communities will vote through the "Open Budget" portal to allocate areas for "My Garden" projects, including public parks and "New Generation Parks."

Parents can voluntarily order tree planting and park establishment through state service centers or online platforms, paying through the "Green Payment" system or other electronic methods. The payment amounts will be set by the customers.

Funds collected will be deposited into a "Green Charitable Fund" managed by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change. This initiative aims to elevate planting activities to a national tradition, increase green spaces nationwide, and foster a healthier environment for future generations.
