Uzbekistan plans to launch craftsmanship training
Uzbekistan plans to boost handicraft development through professional training programs posted on the regulation’s portal for public discussion. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has proposed the "On Craft Activities" law, outlining the "Master-Apprentice" school concept, craftsman rights and obligations.
The "Hunarmand" association's priority tasks and activity directions are also defined. The law covers the National catalog and register of craftsmen in tourism, state support, craftsman-apprentice relations, and citizen training for craftsmanship. It aims to create opportunities, strengthen the raw material base, and protect artisans' legal rights.
Adopting this law will foster traditional crafts, folk arts, and applied arts, providing employment and facilities for craftsmen while ensuring legal rights and interests. The proposed project may undergo changes or rejection.
