Uzbekistan to host Republican Science Olympiad

Uzbekistan will host the Republican Science Olympiad in cooperation with the Ministry of Pre-School and School Education, the Agency for Youth Affairs, PDP University, IT Park and the Olympiad School "Khiso". The main goal of the Olympiad is to promote young people in the exact sciences, as well as to guide them in the field of digital technology.
The Olympiad will involve high school students in grades 10-11. The main prize is 50 million soums in cash ($4.5 thousand). The Olympiad will be held in 2 stages. At the qualifying stage from January 12 to February 1 of this year, candidates registered on a special platform will be received free of charge.
However, at the basic stage, the selected students are divided into 3 Leagues.
1. In the Platinum League, 1st place will receive 50 million soums, 2nd place 5 laptops, and 3rd place 9 TV sets. Also 100 grants will be provided for studying at PDP University (12 million soums).
2. Gold League will provide 20 million soums, 3 laptops, 7 TV sets and 100 grants for 12 million soums.
3. Silverigasi will provide 10 million soums, 2 laptops, 4 TVs, and 100 grants to the amount of 12 million soums.
In addition, there will be a special grant of 1.7 billion soums for the education of children from low-income families. These prizes account for 5.5 billion soums.
Applications will be accepted until February 1 on a special platform (olympiad.pdp.uz).
