Uzbekistan to introduce mandatory standard of school uniform
The Uzbek authorities have approved a mandatory standard for a unified school uniform for public school students from the 2022/2023 academic year which was previously assumed to be introduced from the 2024/2025 academic year.
Until June 1, 2022, it is planned to study the need for school uniforms for the 2022/2023 academic years in all regions.
At the same time, assistance will be provided in acquiring school uniforms for children from low-income families at the expense of the local budget and the Iron Book, Women's Book and Youth Book funds.
Designated Outlets will start selling school dresses beginning on August 10, 2022.
A government decree approved the unified school uniform on August 15, 2015.
