Uzbekistan`s permanent population hits 33 million people
Analysis by regions of the Republic showed that as of October 1, 2018, the largest population was observed in Samarkand (3.7 million people, share in the total population of the Republic - 11.4%) and Fergana (3.6 million people, 11.1%) regions
The permanent population of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of October 1, 2018, amounted to 33 million 85.2 thousand people, having increased since the beginning of the year by 428.5 thousand people or 1.3%. In particular, the urban population amounted to 16 million 728.2 thousand people (50.6% of the total population), the rural population – 16 million 357 thousand people (49.4%).
Analysis by regions of the Republic showed that as of October 1, 2018, the largest population was observed in Samarkand (3.7 million people, share in the total population of the Republic - 11.4%) and Fergana (3.6 million people, 11.1%) regions, and the lowest - in Syrdarya (825.8 thousand people, 2.9%) and Navoi (969.7 thousand people, 2.5%) regions.
