UZSWLU student wins international Japanese speech contest
Hasan Mamurjonov, a second-year student at the Uzbek State University of World Languages, secured first place at the International Japanese Speech Contest held in Tokyo, Japan. The competition, which gathered participants from various countries, aimed to assess students’ public speaking skills in Japanese.
The contest, now in its 22nd edition, featured 10 participants from Canada, Vietnam, Russia, Korea, China, Nepal, Taiwan, and Uzbekistan. Hasan Mamurjonov impressed the jury with his speech, earning him the top prize in this prestigious event.
Currently, he is studying at Toyo University in Japan as part of an academic mobility program. Under the agreement between Uzbek State University of World Languages and Toyo University, three students from Uzbekistan are sent to Japan for study each year, while one student from Toyo University comes to study at UzSWLU.
