Zomin airport opens, boosting local economy and tourism
Zomin Airport was officially opened, with the regional governor, Ergash Saliyev, and the governor of Zomin district, Alisher Abduganiyev, attending the opening ceremony along with members of the public and media representatives.
Governor Ergash Saliyev highlighted the significance of this project in boosting the income of Zomin's residents and providing job opportunities for the youth. He also emphasized that the project would lead to the development of various infrastructures, such as public dining facilities, transportation services, souvenir shops, restaurants, and cafes. These establishments will employ local residents, enabling them to generate income.
Zomin Airport features a passenger terminal with 30 seats and occupies a 60-hectare area. Over 200 employees and 110 pieces of equipment are actively engaged in its operations.
Furthermore, the procurement, installation, and operation of radio and aeronautical equipment for airport infrastructure, as well as the design and construction of engineering communications, runways, taxiways are proceeding according to the established plan.
An essential aspect that requires attention in the tourism sector is the transportation infrastructure. The convenience and efficiency of this infrastructure will have a direct impact on the duration of tourists' visits, both local and foreign.
