Uzbek athletes win 12 medals at Asian Championship

The U-18 continental championship in athletics hosted by Tashkent is finished. 500 athletes from about 40 countries competed for the victory in the 4-day competition.

On the last day of the championship, in the 2000-meter steeplechase among girls, Mahliyo Muhammadjonova was the first to reach the finish line with 7:10.49 minutes and won the gold medal. Anna Chikalova, who accumulated 4739 points in seven wrestling competitions, and Abduaziz Rahmatullayev, who recorded a result of exactly 54 meters in the discus throwing sector, won the bronze medal.

Athletes of the Uzbek national team won 3 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
