French companies want to develop atomic energy in Uzbekistan
The Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamahmudov and the Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan Mrs. Aurelia Bouchez held a meeting.
The two sides discussed the status of projects implemented in cooperation with French companies.
In particular:
— Works being carried out in the Sirdarya HPP, Qambarota and Chotqol HPP projects in cooperation with the EDF company, as well as installing solar batteries on the roofs of buildings and structures.
— that the "Total Eren" company has successfully commissioned a solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW in Samarkand region in May 2022, as well as expressing interest in new plants planned to be built in Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions.
- "Voltalia" company won the tender for the construction of a solar photoelectric plant in Khorezm region and is conducting practical work on expanding cooperation in other directions.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the prospects of cooperation with "Technip Energies" company. They noted the feasibility of establishing a joint venture providing design services not only in the field of modernisation of the gas transmission system but also in other areas of the fuel and energy complex.
The representatives of the two countries also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in atomic energy and emphasised the interests of FromAtom and Assystem companies.
