The brave sultan, who bravely overcame the harsh trials of fate, fell at the hands of traitors at the age of 32. Sultan Jaloliddin defended not only his homeland but also dozens of other countries of the world. His name and heroism and courage have become a legend among different peoples.

When Uzbekistan gained its independence, the memory of our great ancestors was perpetuated. His birthdays were worthily marked. The memorial complex built in the center of Khorezm is one of the results of noble work in this direction. This initiative was put forward by the President in 2018. The place of installation and the artistic and ideological content of the monument were discussed in detail with the participation of historians, art historians and builders. The construction was visited several times by the head of our state. Thus, a majestic statue with a height of 25 meters was erected. It depicts Jaloliddin Manguberdy holding the reins of a horse, aiming to protect the country. Patriotism and the indomitable will of our people, confidently looking to the future, are embodied in the stubborn and proud figure of the Sultan. A copy of the epitaph stone of Jaloliddin Manguberda is installed in front of the monument. The stone weighing 32 kilograms and 30 centimetres high is carved with verses from the Koran, the genealogy of Jaloliddin Manguberda. The original was found in Iran and is kept in the famous British Museum in London. It also testifies to the broad international fame of our great ancestors. Large-scale construction works were carried out on an area of about 8 hectares, where the complex is located, along Al-Khorezmi and Islam Karimov streets. A car tunnel has been built under the square with the monument. About 18 thousand ornamental trees, flowers and shrubs have been planted on the territory of the complex.

The complex has become another attraction of Khorezm, which is becoming more and more beautiful every day. In particular, over the past five years, all district centers, about 100 villages and mahallas have been landscaped in the region. 80 new hotels have been built for tourists.
