Air spotting, observation decks to be created at the Uzbek airports
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution "On measures to create conditions for the development of air spotting", which provides for measures to increase the country's tourism potential and the recognition of domestic airports and airlines. According to the government's decision of January 26, by May 1, 2022, there will be places for air spotting on the territory of all international airports of Uzbekistan (a direction in genre photography, the main purpose of which is photographing aircraft from as close a distance as possible), the press service of Uzbekistan Airports has reported.
Along with this, observation decks with all the necessary infrastructure will be built on the territories adjacent to international airports for everyone who wants to take pictures of airplanes. In addition, from May 1 of this year, seasonal contests for local amateurs and professional air spotters, as well as annual contests involving foreign air spotters will be held once a quarter. It is planned to organize open days and excursions to the country's international airports for young people.
