Innovative diagnostic method detects food allergy in Uzbekistan
Ilmira Razikova, Director of the Republican Scientific Center of Allergology, said that food allergy is detected by an innovative diagnostic method.
Symptoms of food allergy occur within a few minutes to two hours. The main symptoms are skin rash, itching, swelling, or pain.
Swelling of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, allergic rhinitis, runny nose, sneezing, cough, shortness of breath, watering and reddening of the eyes, and nausea can be observed.
The allergy site is usually formed in the form of hives, accompanied by a red rash with hardcore, swelling and itching.
Atopic dermatitis caused by food allergy in breastfed children has several additional symptoms. For example, dry skin, and redness in the anal region of the child that increases after breastfeeding are among them.
In some people, food allergies can be accompanied by serious symptoms — life-threatening symptoms such as bronchial obstruction, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, a sudden drop in blood pressure, dizziness, or fainting.
This type of disease is now being diagnosed using innovative diagnostic methods at the Allergology Center of the Republic.
Through it, antibodies against 300 allergens and the protein component of the allergen molecule are studied simultaneously from one drop of blood.
As an expert in this field, I recommend that people who suffer from or are prone to food allergies should see their doctors and strictly follow their recommendations and instructions.
