Uzbekistan improves system for providing social services and assistance
The system for providing social services and assistance will be improved, with a focus on enhancing quality. State duties will also be waived for temporary registration of certain socially vulnerable groups by the “Inson” social services centers.
The Law "On State Duty" has been amended to exempt elderly individuals, those living alone, and people with disabilities who require outside care from paying state duties when replacing lost or damaged ID cards or biometric passports.
Additionally, orphans and children without parental care will be exempt from paying state duties when completing notarial acts for housing purchased in their name by the State from the secondary market. It is also planned that funds allocated for sponsoring single elderly individuals, those living alone, and people with disabilities who need comprehensive care will be considered deductible expenses when calculating the tax base.
