Uzbekistan proposes new student assessment concept

Scientific-practical conference was organized, with the participation of numerous organizations, to address the topic "Trends in the Implementation of Result-Oriented Education." The conference was critical and analytical, revealing several challenges within the education sector.

According to the data, 16.7% of the students in the republic are enrolled in pedagogical universities, indicating a growing interest in the field. One topic discussed at the conference was the professional development and methodological support for educators, emphasizing the need for effective teaching methods and informing them about the formative evaluation system. Experts suggest that artificial intelligence, entering education alongside other fields, could become a crucial foundation in the work of educators.

The expert emphasized that digitalizing education is crucial in today's context. They also highlighted the importance of inclusive education and acknowledged that enhancing this aspect requires significant time, funding, and effort. Consequently, experts suggested that progress in this area will be made gradually within the country. Furthermore, they mentioned the need to update the state education standard requirements, noting the absence of established norms for standard development and a component for evaluating educational outcomes.

Given these conditions, the republic's higher education institutions should prioritize the training of competitive personnel. The conference was open to all, with international education experts actively participating via video conference. It is anticipated that this conference will facilitate the transition to a result-oriented education system, foster the development of student evaluation concepts, and address other issues within the field.
