WIUT's startup founders completed ADB CAREC University Innovation Exchange Programme
The most awaited ADB CAREC UIEP was launched on the 16th of July 2023. The program gathered pre-seed startup teams from leading universities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. It aims to foster cross-border collaboration and unlock the vast potential of the region for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The CAREC UIEP holds a broader vision of building a supportive community of young entrepreneurs and providing them with the necessary resources for sustainable ventures in the region.
The UIEP is a two-week in-person programme that involved 4 universities from CAREC countries, Westminster International University in Tashkent (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Azerbaijan State Economic University (Baku, Azerbaijan), Almaty Management University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) & Georgian-American University (Tbilisi, Georgia). Each participant had a chance to travel and explore startup ecosystem, complete workshops, pitching & mentoring sessions, joined networking events in four different countries.
During the closing ceremony of the event, 3 startups that are fully supported by innoWIUT Entrepreneur's Lab received the following awards from ADB CAREC:
