Uzbekistan Hosts “Week of Tolerance” to Promote Unity and Understanding
The "Week of Tolerance" is scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan from November 13 to 19 this year. It is organized by the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Committee on International Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries, and involves various ministries and organizations.
The event is dedicated to the International Day of Tolerance on November 16. Throughout the week, activities will be held across all regions of the republic. These include exhibitions showcasing national traditions, essay contests on the theme of tolerance, art contests depicting a tolerant world, and poetry evenings promoting tolerance in secondary schools.
Higher educational institutions in the republic will host scientific-practical and educational events covering topics such as living together as one people in one country, religious enlightenment, inter-ethnic tolerance for societal stability, and roundtable discussions on inter-ethnic harmony and tolerance as lifelong values.
