First freight train leaves Chinese city of Wuhan to arrive in Tashkent
The first freight train No. 75151 left the Chinese city of Wuhan for Tashkent, Chinese media has reported.
The train will pass through the Khorgos railway checkpoint in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) and will arrive at its destination on August 9.
The train carries baby strollers, cotton yarn, shoe polish, household appliances, components for air conditioners, fabric and other consumer goods with a total weight of more than 600 tons.
According to an employee of the logistics company China Railway Modern Logistics Technology Co., Ltd, the launch of this direct link will undoubtedly help enterprises reduce transport costs and delivery times.
