Uzbekistan and Afghanistan Collaborate in Pharmaceutical Sector
A delegation of Uzbekistan's government officials is currently in Afghanistan to discuss cooperation. The head of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Sherzod Yakubov, is part of the delegation and is negotiating with Afghanistan about pharmaceuticals and healthcare collaboration.
The discussions have led to agreements between the director of Afghanistan's "Future Wells Trading," G. Fahim, and Uzbekistan's producers. They have agreed to supply protein and vitamin complexes, with an annual investment of around 1 million.
The delegation also talked about potential contracts with the "Ibn Sino" enterprise in Afghanistan. The private sector handles the distribution of pharmaceutical products to the public, with "Ibn Sino" playing a significant role. During the meetings, plans were made to enhance the skills of Afghan medical personnel through training like "Health manager" courses.
