Uzbekistan and Georgia Collaborate to Boost Tourism
Representatives from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism are currently in Tbilisi, Georgia, to enhance cooperation in tourism. They met with the management of Georgia's National Tourism Administration to provide detailed information about Uzbekistan's tourism potential, facilities for tourists, and transportation options.
In September 2023, both parties agreed to organize an info-tour and B2B meetings, involving Georgian tour operators, media representatives, and bloggers, to showcase Uzbekistan's tourist attractions. Additionally, they decided to exchange experiences on organizing domestic tourism in Uzbekistan and maintaining accurate statistics in this regard.
The National Tourism Administration of Georgia expressed its willingness to assist in arranging a road show in Georgian cities to promote Uzbekistan's tourism potential. Notably, the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan from Georgia in the sixth month of 2023 has doubled compared to the same period last year.
