A cauldron where pilaf was cooked was 4.2 meters in diameter, with its capacity reaching almost 8 thousand liters. The dish was found for this event specially, at the Almalyk mining and metallurgical combine. The total weight of the cauldron made up 7070 kg, depth — 1 meter.
A record number of products were used for cooking. In particular, beef — 826 kg, mutton — 825,5 kg, fat (lamb tail) — 195 kg and, most importantly, 1650 kg of rice. 2.4 thousand kg of carrots, 185 kg of onions, 350 liters of oil, 480 kg of salt were put into the huge cauldron. All of this was refueled with 4.5 kg of cumin, 165 kg of barberry, 90 kg of beans, 3 kg of black pepper.
More than 50 eminent cooks from all over Uzbekistan gathered to cook the pilaf.
In the end, the guests of the event and more than 22000 residents of Almalyk had the opportunity to enjoy the delicious ready pilaf.
