University of World Economy and Diplomacy becomes “Smart University”

Starting from the 2022/2023 academic year, the activities of the UWED university will be transformed based on the concept of a new generation of higher education institutions - "Smart University".

Every year, at least 10 university professors, doctoral students and undergraduates will be sent to leading educational institutions of foreign countries for scientific internships and advanced training.

Until January 1, 2025, measures will be taken to include the university in the international scientific and technical database "Scopus".

UWED has the right to confer academic titles on its professors and to recognize academic titles and degrees on the basis of academic independence in their recruitment.

In the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, for students who have expressed a desire to study under internal academic mobility programs that provide for the exchange of students between Samarkand State University, Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Tashkent State Law University, one semester of study is organized in the relevant areas of education .

From the 2022/2023 academic year, active students of the university will be sent for an internship at the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad for practical training.
