Uzbekistan Unveils Bold Plan for Elderly Well-Being
Uzbekistan is set to prioritize the well-being of its elderly population through the implementation of a comprehensive plan outlined in the "Population Health-2030" strategy for 2024-2026.
As part of this initiative, an annual preventive examination program will target 4.6 million individuals aged 55 and above. The focus will be on assessing their health and activity levels.
To encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, neighborhoods will undergo modifications, creating environments conducive to increased physical activity among the elderly. Additionally, incentives will be introduced to further motivate them.
In line with these efforts, the "Keksalik Gashti" light sports competitions will be organized to promote engagement and well-being among the elderly population.
