Uzbek futsal team advances to semifinals in Asian futsal cup 2024
In the last quarterfinal match of the Asian Futsal Cup 2024, Uzbekistan defeated Vietnam and advanced to the semifinals. The game became tough for Uzbekistan until 34th minute. However, they made a comeback in the last 6 minutes.
This victory marks Uzbekistan's fourth consecutive appearance in the Asian Cup semifinals. They will face Iran on April 26 for a chance to reach the finals. Additionally, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam, having lost in the quarterfinals after Uzbekistan's advancement, will participate in playoff matches for a chance to secure the 5th ticket to the World Cup-2024.
Previously, Tajikistan, Iran, and Thailand secured their places in the 2024 World Cup by reaching the semifinals. The World Cup will take place from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan.
