Tashkent to host spring opera and ballet festival
From April 7 to 28, capital will host the international opera and ballet festival- "Tashkent Spring". Uzbek artists, along with invited guests from Italy, Germany, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Russia, will participate in the event.
The Embassy of Italy in Uzbekistan is planning to bring together various talents for the International Opera and Ballet Festival. Daniel Adjiman, a professor at the Milan Conservatory and conductor of the Rossini Symphony Orchestra, along with opera soloists Valentino Boi and Paolo Larditzione, will participate in the festival.
During the event, performers from renowned groups such as "Helikon-opera," "Novaya opera," Mariinsky, and the Russian State Academic Grand Theaters will take to the stage in Tashkent. Local conductors will share the stage with counterparts from Russia, Italy, and Germany. The festival will kick off on April 7 with the comedic opera "Maysara's Work" by Suleyman Yudakov. A grand gala concert is scheduled for the conclusion of the festival on May 1st.
For reference, this festival has been held in the capital for nearly 17 years.
