Chamber of Commerce and Industry saw the Uzbek-Turkish business forum on December 25.
The purpose of the event was to promote trade relations between Uzbek and Turkish companies, working on the creation of new joint ventures and implementation of new investment projects.
The parties discussed issues of mutual cooperation on strengthening of interaction between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
The sides discussed the issues of building complexes for cultivation and deep processing of agricultural products, storage, packaging and export of food products, creation of joint ventures in the textile and leather-processing industry, and etc.
Turkey is one of the most important trade partners of Uzbekistan. In 2016, the volume of trade turnover amounted to $1.2 billion. For the first 9 months of the current year the mutual trade increased by 29 percent. Some 500 Turkish companies operate in Uzbekistan.
