Uzbekistan Bans Keeping Certain Wild Animals in Captivity
In Uzbekistan, it is prohibited to maintain specific wild animals in semi-free conditions, artificial habitats, or captivity, following a presidentially signed amendment to the "On the Protection and Use of the Animal World" law.
The Government is responsible for establishing the list of these animals and the guidelines for their lawful maintenance by legal entities (organizations). This legislation becomes effective upon its official announcement.
