Uzbekistan ranks 128th in passport index

The Visa Guide has recently published the latest edition of its Passport Index. The list includes Uzbekistan's global passport ranking. According to the report, Uzbekistan has secured 128th place in the ranking.

The Passport Index provides valuable insights into the travel privileges and restrictions associated with different passports worldwide. In this edition, it highlights that Uzbekistan's passport allows its citizens to travel visa-free to 31 countries. Additionally, 19 states offer electronic visas, while 32 states provide visas on arrival to Uzbek passport holders. However, citizens of Uzbekistan must obtain a visa in advance when traveling to 144 countries.

Among the Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan secures the 110th position in the global ranking. Kyrgyzstan's passport ranks 132nd, Tajikistan's passport ranks 140th, and Turkmenistan's passport ranks 167th.

The VisaGuide Passport Index reflects the performance of passports from 199 countries and territories worldwide, considering various factors such as entry requirements, gross domestic product, security, human development index, and tourism index of each destination country.

The top spots in the 2023 Passport Index were dominated by European countries. Spain claimed the crown for the strongest passport, followed by Germany, Singapore, Italy, and France.

On the other end of the spectrum, passports from countries like Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Afghanistan, and Somalia were ranked the last in the index, reflecting their limited travel privileges.
