Huawei shared experience of digital transformation and BPO services development at the Digital Leadership Forum

On July 7, Uzbekistan launched the Digital Leadership Forum, an event held by the Ministry of Digital Technologies. More than 300 IT companies, foreign organizations and entrepreneurs from around the world joined to learn Uzbekistan's achievements in digital transformation, opportunities for further development of IT in the country and conditions created for digital services export potential. Being an active participant of local digital community for 24 years, Huawei took part in the panel sessions of the forum.

At the event, Ms. Amy Wang, the head of one of the five regional Marketing and Solution Sharing Center, presented the work of Regional resource MSSC center in Uzbekistan. Local MSSC office is opened to provide internal BPO services. The main functions of the center are the provision of services to support Digital Marketing, Marketing events such as Exhibitions and Summits, Network Planning, Consulting and Insights, Network Design, Contract Design, ICT Solution Design, Bidding. The Regional Resource Center unites specialists from various fields to strengthen the ICT infrastructure, implement digital transformation and provide comprehensive remote support for the development of ICT in the regions of Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe on the basis of the Uzbek office with the involvement of foreign specialists and local talents.

Mr. Paul Scanlan, Adviser to the President of the Huawei Global Carrier Division, took part in the panel session on the topic of “Digital government systems implementation as a part of Digital Uzbekistan 2030 strategy”. During the speech, the speaker noted the achievements of Uzbekistan in the implementation of digital transformation in recent years and shared the company's vision for the further technological development of the ICT industry in the country.

The principles and policies of “Digital Uzbekistan 2030” strategy created opportunities to cultivate talents, flourish local investment climate and strengthen ICT infrastructure. We are staying committed to close cooperation with carriers, enterprises, local and global partners for acceleration of intelligent digital transformation of various industries, enhancement of user experience and bringing more values to local society», - Paul Scanlan said.

Last year, Uzbekistan made significant progress in the development of mobile and fixed infrastructure, digitalization of public services and deployment of Cloud and Big Data technologies. This was also achieved due to implementation of National Data Center project. Considering the progress and trends for the further development and widespread introduction of digital services, eGov Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the international consulting company Roland Berger, with the support of Huawei, presented the White Paper on the development of e-government and ICT infrastructure in Uzbekistan. The document defines the best global practices relevant for Uzbekistan in terms of the policy for further development of e-government, infrastructure modernization through the application of innovations, human resource development and acceleration of digital economy.
