Syrdarya to build a combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of 1,573 MW
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures for the implementation of the investment project "Construction of a combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of 1,573 MW in the Baimut district of the Syrdarya region". In this regard, a modern thermal power plant of category “H” operating on a combined cycle will be built in the Bayovutsky district of the Syrdarya region on an area of 61.9 hectares. This station will be launched in 2026. This major project is one of the largest investment projects implemented in the countries of Central Asia and the CIS through open international tenders.
In addition, 2,500 permanent jobs will be created during the construction of the facility, and 120 after commissioning.
