Uzbek central bank raises forecast of economic growth
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CB) has revised its forecast for economic growth in 2021 from 4.5%-5.5% to 5.8%-6.8%.
It made the move amid an increase in consumption and a recovery in household incomes.
The figure on export growth excluding gold has grown significantly, from 8%-10% at the beginning of the year to 20-25% now.
Import growth was revised from 6-8% to 12-15%.
The forecast for inflation remained unchanged at the level of 9%-10%. At the end of June, this indicator was 10.9%.
Economic growth in 2Q in annual terms amounted to 6.2%.
