New cardiac center to open in Aral Sea region
The Uzbek government is to create a specialized scientific and practical medical center of cardiology and cardio surgery in the Aral Sea region. The center will provide high-tech medical care to residents, including children with congenital heart defects from the Aral Sea region and Bukhara, Navoi regions.
The treatment for citizens is free. It is planned to reimburse the cost of procedures from the funds allocated to the budget medical institutions of the republic. In addition to that, from December 1st, 2021 the Center will connect to the system of registration of privileged category people. Such patients will be treated at the expense of the state budget and will be admitted to the clinic on a waiting list through an electronic information system.
Scientific research on advanced methods of prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of diseases in the field of cardiology is planned to be conducted at the Center. Specialists of the Center will be able to take internships in leading foreign medical educational institutions and clinics.
