Uzbek Workers in Russia Warned Against Unofficial Courier Services
The Foreign Labor Migration Agency has urged Uzbek nationals working in Russia to be cautious. Recently, some Uzbeks in Russia have faced issues related to delivering products for a high fee through online advertisements.
It has come to light that informal courier services are offering to deliver orders, which may contain drugs or prohibited substances. Consequently, those involved in such services are being apprehended and prosecuted by law enforcement.
In light of this, the agency advises fellow countrymen not to engage in unofficial courier services, avoid delivering suspicious items for a significant fee, or to thoroughly inspect the products before agreeing to transport them.
According to Russian law, severe penalties, including long-term imprisonment, are imposed for the sale or distribution of narcotics.
