Uzbek snipers take 2nd place in International Competition in Turkey

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Defense sniper team has achieved a remarkable feat, securing second place in the "Most Advanced Sniper" competition held in Turkey. Over 40 teams from 13 countries participated in the event, including Spain, Pakistan, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Held at the "Commando" mountain training center in Isparta, Turkey, the competition comprised 14 challenging scenarios divided into five groups. The snipers faced rigorous tasks such as identifying and eliminating a target among a simulated enemy group located 2,000 meters away, with Uzbek team successfully hitting the mark on their first attempt.

The competition replicated real battle situations, testing skills like shooting from boats and towers to protect an island, evacuating wounded personnel by helicopter and engaging in ground combat, and even fixing moving targets with a pistol. In one particularly impressive showing, the Uzbek team excelled in conditions involving fighting from mountaintops to slopes and accurately aiming at targets while wearing gas masks in damaged areas.

Outperforming 42 foreign army teams, the military personnel from Uzbekistan secured an impressive second place after a 10-day competition. The first and third spots were awarded to the host country's representatives.
