Uzbekistan signs economic agreements with Qatar
Uzbekistan has signed economic agreements with Qatar. The documents are aimed at mutual promotion and protection of investments as well as the prevention of tax evasion.
The documents confirmed the following agreements between the governments of Uzbekistan and Qatar, signed in Samarkand:
-Mutual promotion and protection of investments
-Elimination of double taxation on income tax
-Prevention of tax evasion
The Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade and the Tax Committee are the competent bodies responsible for the implementation of the international treaties. After the entry into force of these international treaties, the Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of the relevant ministries and departments were entrusted with the task of monitoring the implementation of the document's provisions.
