Uzbekistan to export lemon to 4 more countries
Lemon exports to Russia jumped 2.8 times in January-April. Uzbekistan ranked fourth in the supply of lemons to this country after Turkey, Morocco and Egypt.
Uzbekistan has received a phytosanitary permit to export lemon to Japan, India, Myanmar and Ghana, according to the press service of the Uzdavkarantin inspection. The list of importers until today included South Korea, China, the Philippines, Iran, Vietnam, Israel, Pakistan, Thailand, Bangladesh and Jordan.
The largest importers of Uzbek lemon are Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The program for the development of this industry was adopted in Uzbekistan in 2018. In accordance with this program, in 2018-2021, it is planned to create new lemonariums on an area of 2.2 thousand hectares in Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Samarkand regions.
The annual production of lemons in the country is 30 thousand tons. By 2025, this figure is expected to increase to 63.3 thousand tons.
