Uzbekistan airways’ third Airbus A321neo LR touches down in Tashkent
The third Airbus A321neo LR aircraft purchased by Uzbekistan Airways has arrived at the Tashkent airport.
The plane traditionally was solemnly greeted with a water salute. The A321LR made a direct flight lasting 5 hours and 30 minutes from Hamburg (Germany), where one of the Airbus companies has its assembly branch.
By the way, the Airbus A321neo LR is an upgraded version of the Airbus A321 passenger airliner with new generation engines and larger sharklets. In addition, the aircraft has an increased flight range.
The aeroplane can accommodate 188 passengers (16 seats in business class, 172 in economy class) and is designed to route on regional and long-haul routes. By the end of the year, Uzbekistan Airways will receive two more aircraft of this model.
Previously, the National carrier has acquired two of these models on February 14 and March 7 of this year.
