Louvre Museum to show objects about cultural heritage of Uzbekistan
The Louvre Museum in Paris will host an exhibition dedicated to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. About 70 exhibits will be presented to art lovers within 3 months
The Fund for the Development of Culture and Art has signed agreements with the Louvre Museum and the Institute of the Arab World to hold two large-scale exhibitions dedicated to the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan. The document was signed on June 30 in Paris.
“Exhibition “Treasures of the oases of Uzbekistan. At the crossroads of caravan routes" will be held at the Louvre Museum from November 24, 2022, to March 6, 2023, and will be dedicated to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, which was located on the Silk Road from the 3rd to the 15th centuries," the Foundation said.
Especially for the exhibition, Uzbek and French specialists are restoring about 70 exhibits from the museums of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition "Road to Samarkand, colours and splendour of Uzbekistan" at the Institute of the Arab World will open on November 22, 2022, and will last until June 4, 2023. It will present the richest material culture of Uzbekistan at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
